I will have students select a card at random as they come in the door. Based on the character they draw from the stack they will sit at the table group with that picture on the card. Here are my table groups…
Once students sit at their group they can read their card. Each card has one of four jobs on it: Leader of the Pack, Roving Reporter, Writing Warrior, Materials Magician (these are worded this way to go with my superhero theme). Along with their title, their is a description of their job for the day on the card. We will switch daily allowing students to mix it up and learn different responsibilities and to sit with different students each day.
